Yiwu Fair 2026 runs 21–24 October: a buying trip checklist

The 32nd China Yiwu International Commodities Fair runs from 21 to 24 October 2026 for trade buyers, with a public day on 25 October. About 3,000 exhibitors will show in 4,500 booths across 110,000 square metres, and the organisers expect 180,000 buyers.

Why go

Yiwu is the world's largest market for small commodities: toys, gifts, stationery, jewellery, hardware, household goods and festive products. The fair brings factories and trading companies together in one place, next to Yiwu International Trade City, where tens of thousands of shops sell year-round.

Combine it with the Canton Fair

Phase 2 of the Canton Fair (23 to 27 October, consumer goods, gifts and home) overlaps with the Yiwu Fair. A buyer can spend two days in Yiwu and then fly or take the train to Guangzhou. See our Canton Fair 2026 guide.

Checklist

  1. Entry: Thai, Malaysian and Singaporean passports, and passports from the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain, enter visa-free for up to 30 days. Indonesian passports need a visa. See entry rules by passport.
  2. Hotels: book now; rooms near the fair and the market fill up in October.
  3. Shortlist by category and check the companies behind stalls before paying deposits. See how we verify suppliers.
  4. Plan shipping early: consolidating small orders from many sellers into one container saves money.

We run wholesale market buying trips to Yiwu and Guangzhou: stall shortlists, company checks, interpreters and consolidated shipping.
