Foreign visitors can now fill in China's arrival card online before they land. The service started on 20 November 2025. Paper cards are still available at the airport for anyone who has not done it in advance, so this is a time-saver, not a new requirement.
Where to fill it in
- The National Immigration Administration (NIA) online service platform
- The NIA 12367 mobile app
- The NIA WeChat mini-program
- The NIA Alipay mini-program
- By scanning the official QR code
What to have ready

Take a screenshot when you finish, in case you are asked at the counter.

- Passport valid for at least six months, plus a return ticket and hotel booking.
- Working or studying at a university still needs a visa in advance.
