CIIE 2026: China International Import Expo runs 5–10 November in Shanghai

The 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) takes place from 5 to 10 November 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.

Unlike the Canton Fair, where Chinese companies sell to the world, CIIE is where overseas companies sell to China. It is one of the most direct ways for food and consumer-goods exporters from Southeast Asia and the Gulf to meet Chinese importers and distributors.

If you want to exhibit in future

Exhibitor applications close months before the fair, and many countries organise national pavilions. Start planning for next year now. See trade fairs and business trips.

If you want to sell food to China

Your company must be registered with China's customs authority before your products can clear customs. See Sell to China.

If you are visiting Shanghai

Hotels near the venue fill up during expo week. Our Shanghai city guide covers transport, halal food and mosques.
